Net Metering

Lower or eliminate your electricity bills by switching to solar energy systems. According to the Ontario Energy Board statistics hydro rates have increased 14% annually over the last 7 years.

Net Metering is an agreement between you and your hydro supplier.

Your Hydro supplier will track the amount of power your solar system produces, and the amount of power your community or business uses. Your supplier will then give you credits when you produce more power than you are using. The credits will carry forward for up to 12 months, so over the year your usage and production will net zero. This means you will pay nothing for hydro! The typical payback for a Net Metering system is 8-10 years, with this payback time frame decreasing every year due to the rising hydro cost.

According to the Ontario Energy Board statistics, hydro rates have increased 14% annually over the last 7 years. Rates are predicted to continue increasing, making more sense to produce your own power, and free yourself from this increasing financial burden. On top of this, CONXCORP offers comprehensive warranties on all of our products and installations, including a 25 year efficiency warranty on panels. This means your system will be producing for many years to come.

BALANCING YOUR BUDGET?

The benefit of net metering does not exist solely for communities. Business operations needing high volumes of electricity in order to carry out routine operations, such as industrial facilities, can also greatly reduce their energy costs by investing in renewable energy generation systems. PV solar panels also help businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and go Green!

HOW  NET METERING WORKS

The process is not at all difficult. Simply connect your renewable energy generation system to the public grid and leave the rest up to your local utility provider. From here, they will read and monitor your energy usage and generation, removing the value of the energy you supply to the distribution grid from the value of the actual amount of electricity your community or business has consumed.  What you will see on your monthly statement is the ‘net’ difference between the energy used and the energy provided. As a result, your community or business becomes a solar power plant.

 A WIN-WIN SITUATION

We proudly design and install net metering solutions guaranteed to save you money.

Applying the solar energy generated against the energy normally used to reduce costs can help you become more independent from the utility grid. For almost a decade CONXCORP Renewable Energy has developed strong industry expertise to aid in the design and installation of custom renewable energy and solar generation solutions to help our clients achieve maximum ROI, while reducing their impact on the environment.

Program Eligibility:

  • Energy generated must be for your own usage
  • The energy generated must come from renewable sources such as wind, water, solar energy and / or biomass
  • The generation facility should not exceed a maximum capacity of 500 kW
